As many of the foundational backers of NFTease know, things have been quiet these past several months. The team has been occupied building, testing, revamping, and modifying the NFTease.app codebase for a massive feature-packed update. We apologize for the lack of communication while undertaking this process, the collective effort of the team has been put forth into developing this update, and we simply didn’t have the resources to focus on other areas (we’re always looking for help if you want to be more involved!)
The NFTease.app Update & New Features:
For many, an NFT is more than ownership — it’s the ability to leverage, trade, and earn — an investment. Although we still firmly stand by our position of exclusivity and the power that NFT’s bring for a creator, we realized we hadn’t fully taken the buyer into consideration. The update we’ve been working on aims to solve this issue in many ways, and bring more than any competitors can offer.
RESALES & ROYALTIES:
For starters, creators now have the ability to enable resales of their content! This means that NFTease creators can — with the flip of a switch — enable or disable resales of their content while being created. When resales are enabled, an NFT can be bought, resold, traded, and exchanged all on NFTease.app. This attaches an investment like value for buyers, who are now able to potentially earn income from creators work, and adds liquidity to an otherwise stagnant asset. But wait! Doesn’t this mean creators are harmed by secondary sales? NOPE. On-top of resellability, creators can also attach royalties to their asset. This means that whenever a secondary sale is made, a creator will get a percentage of that sale. This enables creators to continually be paid for their work and content, and the royalty % is entirely up to the creator to choose (up to 80 percent, can only be set once). The royalties are directly embedded in the NFT, and we’ve integrated the EIP-2981 standard into our smart-contracts.
AUCTIONS & BIDS:
On the secondary sellers market, we’ve built an entirely new aspect to how content can be purchased and sold. Buyers can now submit offers for content and make bids on content they wish to obtain. On-top of bids, there is a buy-it-now price. Once a successful purchase is made, the NFT is automatically transferred over to the new owner and the previous owner loses rights to the content. The dynamic environment of auctions and bids will help creators and resellers move content in a more fluid fashion.
They’re finally here! NFTease now supports 100% gasless collections. This means that a creator pays absolutely no fees for creating a collection. We’re currently one of the few marketplaces in the world to offer gasless minting for collections. Collections mean that a creator can create many “copies” of the same piece of content — allowing more than just one user to own the content. Collections are fully integrated with the EIP-1155 semi fungible standard, there are very few BSC marketplaces who offer this standard, and none with gasless minting. Collections open the door for creators to do massive NFT drops exclusively on NFTease, and are fully integrated with all of our new features.
NFTease now fully supports BUSD, BNB, ETHEREUM, and of course the TEASE token. Providing the flexibility in payments will allow the platform to continue to grow and provides creators the option to choose a payment method. The TEASE token will always provide the lowest fees on the platform to encourage use. TEASE is also heavily encouraged as both creators and buyers will get a % of their purchase back. On-top of this, the TEASE token will be able to be used across NFTease for various actions (such as self promotions, renting space in the ‘featured’ section, and much much more coming soon). The new payment methods will allow NFTease to integrate credit-card based payments via an on-ramper or auto-swap in the very short future — which will lower the barrier to entry to use Nftease.
Another important feature that is coming in this update is a new notification system for all actions that happen on NFTease. New bids on secondary sales, new sales, purchases, and more will now alert a user (in-app) via a notification. This notification system will soon be expanded to provide email notifications, and push-notifications if a user chooses to opt-in.
IMPROVED UI & TECHNICAL DATA:
The UI in certain areas has also been overhauled to provide a more clean experience for users across the platform. We’ve also included technical data on each NFT, such as current offers, a history of transactions, and historical price charts.
What’s to come after?
Much, much more! We’ll start with adding more media support types-including audio, and video. Followed by an in-app messaging system, where creators can connect with their audience and enable payments for messaging, tipping, etc. We’re also looking into more DeFi aspects for the token 👀. These, and many more updates are to come.
We thank you for your patience while we’ve been working on this update. We’re still a few weeks away, and a realistic timeline to ensure we are fully ready for launch will likely be December. We apologize for shifting the timeline, but the development cycle is tough, and we want to ensure we are ready for this release.
